ABOUT US

MTNA@FSU

Founded in 1876 by Theodore Presser and sixty-two of his friends, the Music Teachers National Association is currently the largest professional, non-profit music teachers organization in the world. More than 26,000 members—comprised of independent and collegiate music teachers—are committed to furthering the art of music through teaching, performance, composition, and scholarly research.

We are the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) collegiate chapter at Florida State University. We are a group of students who are passionate about pedagogy and reaching our community through music. We maintain active research, presentation, and performance schedules throughout the year. We also are excited to share our pedagogical insights, musician wellness tips, research snippets, and much more on our social media pages. As of Fall 2023, we run active Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube accounts. We are excited you're here getting to know us a little better!
